Tayari Serengeti Boys chini ya Kocha Jakob Michelsen na Msaidizi wake Jamhuri Kihwelo ikiwa na wachezaji 28 iko kambini jijini Dar es Salaam tangu jana (Agosti 27 mwaka huu) kujiandaa kwa mechi hiyo itakayoanza saa 10 kamili jioni.
Wachezaji waliko kambini ni makipa Abdallah Bakar (Mjini Magharibi), Hamad Juma (Azam) na Peter Manyika (JKT Ruvu). Mabeki ni Abdallah Salum (Mjini Magharibi), Basil Seif (Morogoro), Hassan Mganga (Morogoro), Ismail Gambo (Azam), Mgaya Abdul (Azam), Miraji Selemani (Polisi Morogoro), Miza Abdallah (Kinondoni), Mohamed Hussein (Azam), Pascal Matagi (Dodoma) na Paul James (Kinondoni).
Viungo ni Farid Musa (Kilimanjaro), Hussein Twaha (Coastal Union), James Mganda (Kipingu Academy), Mbwana Ilyasa (Simba), Mohamed Haroub (Zanzibar), Mohamed Kapeta (Kinondoni), Mudathiri Yahya (Azam), Mzamiru Said (Morogoro) na Selemani Bofu (JKT Ruvu).
Washambuliaji ni Abdallah Kisimba (Mwanza), Calvin Manyika (Rukwa), Dickson Ambunda (Mwanza), Joseph Lubasha (Azam), Kelvin Friday (Azam) na Salvatory Nkulula (Kipindu Academy).
Mechi ya marudiano itachezwa jijini Nairobi, Kenya kati ya Septemba 21, 22 na 23 mwaka huu. Timu itakayofanikiwa kusonga mbele itacheza raundi ya pili dhidi ya Misri. Mechi ya kwanza itachezwa nyumbani kati ya Oktoba 12, 13 na 14 mwaka huu wakati ya marudiano itakuwa kati ya Oktoba 26, 27 na 28 mwaka huu.
Misri ni kati ya timu 17 zilizoingia moja kwa moja raundi ya pili. Nyingine ni Afrika Kusini, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Cote d’Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tunisia na Zambia.
