WASANII wawili wa filamu wa Tanzania, Single Mtambalike 'Ritchie' na Elizabeth Michael 'Lulu', juzi walipeperusha vyema bendera ya Taifa baada ya kushinda tuzo mbili za 'Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards 2016.
Katika tuzo hizo zilizotolewa mjini Lagos, Nigeria na kuhudhuriwa na waigizaji wengi maarufu barani Afrika, Ritchie ameshinda tuzo ya Best Indigeous Language Movie/TV Series Swahili kupitia filamu ya Kitendawili.
Kwa upande wake, Lulu ambaye alikuwa kivutio kutokana na mwonekane wake usiku huo, alishinda tuzo ya Best Movie East Africa kupitia filamu yake ya Mapenzi.
Miongoni mwa watanzania waliohudhuria hafla ya utoaji wa tuzo hizo ni pamoja na msanii nyota wa muziki wa kizazi kipya, Ali Kiba, ambaye licha ya kumpongeza Lulu, walipiga picha ya pamoja.
Kiba, mmoja wa wasanii wa Tanzania wanaoheshimika barani Afrika, ni miongoni mwa wanamuziki waliotumbuiza katika sherehe hiyo.
Akizungumza baada ya kupokea tuzo yake, Ritchie aliwashukuru mashabiki wake walioko Tanzania na kwingineko barani Afrika kwa kumpigia kura na kumwezesha kuibuka mshindi katika kipengele hicho.
Naye Lulu, aliyekuwa akizungumza huku akibubujikwa na machozi, aliishukuru familia yake, hasa mama yake kwa kumuunga mkono katika kipindi chote cha matatizo, ikiwa ni pamoja na kukaa lupango kwa miaka kadhaa, kutokana na tuhuma za kumuua, mwigizaji nyota wa zamani nchini, Steven Kanumba.
